Europe falls out of love with Obama

Not that it matters, but it appears that Europe doesn’t like Obama any more. From the Telegraph:

George W. Bush may not have been the most popular figure in Europe when he was president, but at least he was respected by European leaders, and feared by his enemies. In contrast Barack Obama is not only disliked abroad, but also increasingly isolated among America’s allies, and viewed as weak by America’s adversaries. So much for Obama’s boast of “restoring” America’s standing in the world.

Maybe “restoring” was a misquote and Obama really said “destroying” America’s standing in the world. Lost in translation, perhaps.

So, not only do we have a “right” to alter or abolish destructive government, it is our “duty.”

Note to the 26-plus million veterans: we swore an oath. We are honor bound to our responsibilities to the Constitution that is being dismantled before our very eyes.

Illegal immigrant shoots police officer

Dash camera footage captured an illegal immigrant and his passenger firing point blank at Texas police officer Steve Stone in May 2006. Stone survived, but our immigration policy and judicial system are broken: one of the shooters had been criminally deported twice prior to the shooting. Our federal government has blood on their hands, and they MUST be held accountable for their criminal negligence.

Political correctness

Recently a friend chastised me for comparing Obama to Hitler. He meant well, and I took it in the spirit it was meant – no harm no foul. However there is a point that many are missing: If you study Hitler’s rise to power, the similarities to the rise of Obama are quite startling. Further, he has already made this country what those in Europe are calling the Post-Christian age and the Post-Constitution age.

In the last two years the First Amendment of the Constitution has been trashed. The internet is now under governmental control, as well as the media, the medical industry, the insurance industry, the banking industry, student loans and many others. The rule of law has been trashed and an effort is currently underway to divide America by both religion and color. The Black Panthers have the approval and protection of the White House and are protected by the same. We have numerous foreign terrorist  terrorist organizations – operating inside our own country. Their training camps are actively training recruits – often from our own prisons – in the how-to’s of the Islamic jihadist agenda.

The state of Arizona is under fire for simply trying to get control of the border and prevent the free entry into the U.S. through paramilitary means. In Pinal County alone the illegals are coming over the border at a rate of 2,500 a day according to statistics from the Pinal County Sheriff’s office. That’s just one county, so you can imagine how many are coming through within the entire border. Here is another little piece of agony for you as well the DHS and the CIA estimate that 30% to 40% are from the middle east via Venezuela where Chavez works with the terrorist organizations – providing a few months of language and cultural immersion before the operatives go over the border with the rest of the illegal immigrants.

My question to you is: Have you ever wondered why all these things are happening?

Certainly none of you are naive enough to think our government doesn’t know. Of course they know! The Middle Eastern terrorists are paying their host countries $10,000 to $15,000 per head to breach the borders via Mexico. So why are all these things happening to the extreme detriment of our country, our freedom, and our liberties? Simple, the government today approves of all these things, whole heartedly. So why aren’t we saying so? Perhaps because we figure that “it can’t happen here.” So we appease the government and Islam at every turn. It is no longer politically correct to speak the truth, and in some instances it’s quite dangerous to. Finally it is a lack of courage combined with appeasement and the ever changing political correctness, which is simply the inability to speak the truth for fear of offending. Therefore, it is speaking lies, such as the edict from the Capitol telling us we are not to say “Islamic” and “terrorists” together any more.

This country is drowning in a sea of political correctness and B.S. allowing the nation to die. No one seems to be considering the big picture other than how it affects them directly. If it benefits you right now it’s cool, if it doesn’t you bitch. Never mind the loopholes and breaks in the rule of law or the Constitution.

Good luck people you are like frogs in water – never knowing that it’s almost to the boiling level and not wanting to even know there is a fire beneath you.  This fire is burning up your freedom.

Major changes needed in Afghanistan

Retired Air Force Lt. Gen. Tom McInerney writes that if we are to win in Afghanistan, Gen. Stanley McChrystal isn’t the only official worthy of firing, and President Obama must abandon his denial that we are at war with “radical Islam.” (HT Kenny B.)

First to the State Department: Ambassadors Eikenberry and Holbrooke have long outlived their effectiveness. They are a drag on success in this difficult war. They must go.

Next, to the Department of Defense: This a war is not an “Overseas Contigency Operation (OCO)” as President Obama’s administration calls it. We have lost 89 ISAF soldiers and 53 US soldiers this month with 2 days left to go.Mr. President, we are in a violent war against radical Islam and your denial of this fact will ensure our defeat.

You and your administration cannot even define the ideology we are fighting against. John Brennan, your National Security adviser for counterterrorism, thinks “jihad” means “holy struggle” not a war against infidels.

Your Secretary of Defense and chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff have accepted these ridiculous new definitions of the threat.

This means you, and your national security leadership team are clueless about how to defeat this violent threat against America.

They must all go and you must change your senseless strategy.

It is unfortunate that nearly all of the flag officers that make sense have retired.

I have seen no indications that this administration desires victory in Afghanistan. We can debate who should be sacked and who shouldn’t be, but regardless of whether McChrystal, Petraeus, or Sun Tzu is commanding ISAF, the result will look pretty much the same as they must follow the Commander-in-Chief. So rather than simply sacking commanders and ambassadors (treating the symptoms and not the disease), I would like to take things one step further: Let’s go back to the drawing board.

The president must answer these questions (truthfully):

  1. Who is our enemy in Afghanistan and what are their intentions?
  2. What are our intentions in Afghanistan?
  3. How do you define victory in Afghanistan?
  4. What are you doing to achieve victory in Afghanistan?

America deserves clear and concise answers, not lies and distractions. If his answers stink, then “We the People” must remind him that the government ultimately works for us. We must fight in Afghanistan – that’s not the debate we should have. It should be who we are fighting and how we should fight them. Worry about firing commanders and diplomats after we have a solid and just foundation.

While we owe our freedom to the men and women of the Armed Forces, we also acknowledge our founding fathers this Sunday, who risked and lost everything they had so that we may enjoy what we have today. Rush Limbaugh, Sr. (the father of radio host Rush Limbaugh III) wrote this speech years ago, and it would behoove all Americans to read it today and – in addition to the inordinate sacrifice borne by the tiny fraction of Americans who fought in the Revolution – honor the sacrifice of the 56 patriots who signed the Declaration of Independence. The Americans Who Risked Everything

It was a glorious morning. The sun was shining and the wind was from the southeast. Up especially early, a tall bony, redheaded young Virginian found time to buy a new thermometer, for which he paid three pounds, fifteen shillings. He also bought gloves for Martha, his wife, who was ill at home.

Thomas Jefferson arrived early at the statehouse. The temperature was 72.5 degrees and the horseflies weren’t nearly so bad at that hour. It was a lovely room, very large, with gleaming white walls. The chairs were comfortable. Facing the single door were two brass fireplaces, but they would not be used today.

The moment the door was shut, and it was always kept locked, the room became an oven. The tall windows were shut, so that loud quarreling voices could not be heard by passersby. Small openings atop the windows allowed a slight stir of air, and also a large number of horseflies. Jefferson records that “the horseflies were dexterous in finding necks, and the silk of stockings was nothing to them.” All discussing was punctuated by the slap of hands on necks.

On the wall at the back, facing the president’s desk, was a panoply — consisting of a drum, swords, and banners seized from Fort Ticonderoga the previous year. Ethan Allen and Benedict Arnold had captured the place, shouting that they were taking it “in the name of the Great Jehovah and the Continental Congress!”

Now Congress got to work, promptly taking up an emergency measure about which there was discussion but no dissension. “Resolved: That an application be made to the Committee of Safety of Pennsylvania for a supply of flints for the troops at New York.”

Then Congress transformed itself into a committee of the whole. The Declaration of Independence was read aloud once more, and debate resumed. Though Jefferson was the best writer of all of them, he had been somewhat verbose. Congress hacked the excess away. They did a good job, as a side-by-side comparison of the rough draft and the final text shows. They cut the phrase “by a self-assumed power.” “Climb” was replaced by “must read,” then “must” was eliminated, then the whole sentence, and soon the whole paragraph was cut. Jefferson groaned as they continued what he later called “their depredations.” “Inherent and inalienable rights” came out “certain unalienable rights,” and to this day no one knows who suggested the elegant change.

A total of 86 alterations were made. Almost 500 words were eliminated, leaving 1,337. At last, after three days of wrangling, the document was put to a vote.

Arizona Rights

I have seen liberals from all over the country screaming to high heaven about Arizona cracking down on illegal immigration – particularly from the northern part of the country. The Department of Homeland Security even says recently that Middle Eastern terrorists are learning Spanish and crossing the border with the local Mexicans.

Lets examine this shall we?

The operative words being “ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS.” This says immediately that they are starting their American experience by breaking the law.
They should go to jail and when they are done with their sentence be deported.

It only seems fair since an Americans entering Mexico illegally are thrown in prison. Illegal immigrants from Central or South America are routinely beaten and raped. And they accuse us of racism and violating human rights?

Our nation can no longer afford to provide free schooling, health care, housing and other amenities to illegal immigrants who then say “We aren’t going to pay taxes.” Why should we be forced to take care of criminals from another country?

The same illegals are often drug mules as well as dealers, and in some cases terrorists.

The border is the responsibility of the federal government, but when they dropped the ball, Arizonans simply said “fine WE will take care of it.” For this the socialistic and global government proponents are hammering them crying about profiling. Well if it looks like poop ,smells like poop, and tastes like poop, generally it is poop.

The illegals coming through Arizona alone are costing the state $2.6 billion per year alone. Not to mention the future consequences of allowing terrorist’s to cross the border at will.

I am quite sure that people who have never lived in a border state, who know nothing of the problems of the people of that state, are NOT qualified to say diddly squat about it. Yet the liberal media does it all the time. I say we the people should support Arizona’s state rights to the hilt. Next time it may be your state who is at risk. Right now this lovey-dovey, feel-good garbage that is being prattled about by people who don’t know and further don’t care is putting the entire nation at risk and aiding and abetting the terrorist community world wide.

Support your state rights, get with Arizona and support them post haste.

More questions, no answers. Obama needs to end this now, so we can either get back to our business, or find a president who doesn’t violate the Constitution he supposedly studied, and swore an oath to uphold.

Politician stoops to lying about opponent’s proven combat record

Of all the dirty campaign tricks available to politicians, a candidate for South Carolina’s Lieutenant Governor has used perhaps one of the dirtiest.

While other candidates are “misrepresenting” their military service in order to advance their campaigns, Larry Richter was willing to drop to the level of denigrating the proven combat record of primary opponent Bill Connor, who served in Afghanistan.

“I don’t know whether Bill had combat experience or not,” Richter said. “There’s a lot of talk about that, but I defer to his account of that.”

You will have to watch the video for yourself. But personally, I was disgusted.

Although Connor stated he was an “Airborne Ranger infantry officer and senior advisor,” Richter suggested he held a “desk job.” The truth is out there, but apparently it doesn’t benefit Richter’s campaign. For critical thinkers, a copy of Connor’s Officer Evaluation Record is available here.

On the other hand, Richter managed to avoid military service during the Vietnam War.

Richter made his remarks during a live debate on the NBC-affiliate television station WMBF just two business days before the primary elections, knowing that the move would damage his opponent and there would be no time for a blowback. And by blaming his statements on “people, many of them” and “anonymous bloggers,” he has plausible deniability.

W. Thomas Smith, Jr. writes at World Defense Review:

According to official documentation, Connor – a recipient of the Bronze Star and the combat infantryman badge – has been described by his superiors as “a fearless, consummate combat leader” who “performed well under intense enemy fire and always led his men from the front.”

Beyond that, I have personally spoken to soldiers who have served “in action” with Connor, and in one instance Connor literally had to fight with his pistol against fanatics with automatic weapons and rocket-propelled grenades who were trying to wipe out a convoy (Connor was leading) with a series of complex ambushes one-after-another for 4.5 miles of isolated highway in Afghanistan.

If your campaign can’t stand on its own accord, don’t smear a man’s military service – and certainly not his proven combat record.
