I’m a business professor specializing in operations. This looks like an interrelationship diagram that has been half completed. Nobody should put this on a slide to talk about, but as a small box to indicate what was done it might be helpful.
The point of this tool is to identify what the key leverage points in the network of causal effects is. In other words where do I get the biggest bang for my efforts. It should also tell you where the ship hits the sand. It is useful as a strategy tool, but not as a description of what is going on.
